Is Y/A a surreal way to boost one's self esteem?
Some people are "Top Contributors" and kudos to you for earning this honor. I am not asking this question in order to mock you. I ask, more out of curiosity regarding the human psyche Its not like you can put this on a Resume or its a testimony to your intellectual skills or working abilities.

Y/A is a good way to help others and to refresh certain specific knowledge. For example a Top contributor in Physics might be a retired school teacher looking to help others and keep his knowledge fresh.
