Why does ESPN hate our baltimore orioles so much?
Now granted we may not be a good team but we have tradition, legacy and some of the most loyal, funnest fans in baseball. But why on sportscenter do we ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS get that last spot before commercials and 1 minute of coverage. BUT not when we play the yankees or the Red sox, then we get bumped up to their booked spot of 4th or 5th, and if we win those games there is NEVER talk of our players like they would A-roid or a big name player. And we get toyed with if we screw up or Scott gets hurt running the bases but NO coverage of A-roid sticking that needle in his arm like Tyrone Biggums. Please comment I am stumped.

maybe its because they suck.. the same reason the royals do not get covered... espn likes big market winners because that is who is relevant as they have the most followers

Baltimore is not a popular team, haven't been relevant since Cal played there.
The losing isn't part of it either, losing teams like the Cubs are always put on the air because they are a popular team no matter how bad they are. ESPN's do have an agenda there and it is New York, Chicago, LA, Boston etc. All large markets with large fan bases who pay ESPN's bills.

I agree, but ESPN primarily goes with the most popular teams. I don't like the Yanks or Bosox, but the AL East is the toughest division in baseball. The O's just swept my Rangers so I tip my cap to them for doing a masterful job in our building. If I had it my way, I wouldn't focus primarily on the two giants of the AL East. I'd spread the love around and let the fans enjoy other teams that deserve a shot or two of prime time action.

Maybe try and get a competent front office and win something of relevance in the past 20 years and then you might get your wish. The Pirates and Astros aren't exactly burning up the highlight shows as well. Also big market teams= RATINGS, its just a way of life. Im a Rays fan i have got use to i

For the same reason that my New Jersey Nets got less attention from mostly everyone, just because they finished with the worst record in the NBA this past season. Lowly teams usually don't get the most attention like the contending teams would. That's how it goes, unfortunately.
