How did CNN get away with changing the party affiliation colors Democrats blue and Republicans red?

To confuse the general population, that do not follow politics. When this happened, I wondered why I had been thinking that blue was Republican, but when aired over national media, I like anyone else thought well because they say it, it must be right.

i imagine the colorations should be 2 random colorations with out particular importance, both activities should not be referred to as "left" and "suited," and we ought to always get rid of the animals altogether. All look slanted in route of the Republicans, and with out expressing any political determination in any respect, I in basic terms imagine all political representations should be honest.

back then, nobody thought the colors would make any difference. Even now, it seems a bit ridiculous
