Urine Test for a Physical [For ladies]?

I'm getting a Urine test done for a physical that I need in a couple of days. The thing is I may be on my period, or on the start of my period when I go. Will this effect anything? Can I take a urine test while I'm ministrating?

Update:

Yeah tampons a no go. Guess I'll call them tomorrow their closed right now.

    You might want to call the center you'll be taking the test at and ask them. Otherwise, they might think that you have some sort of internal bleeding/damage due to blood found in the urine test.
