HELP! My Brother Started To Format My Hard Drive Then Cancelled And Now It's Not Working!!!?
I wanted to reformat my laptop and my brother had the disk for Vista Home Premium but he said I should reformat my hard disk (internal hard drive) first. So he started doing so and then it was taking a while so he cancelled it and now it wont work at all! It says it's "full" but it doesn't say how many gb's free there are and I can't go into it at all. I can't even reformat it!
Please if you know what to do, please tell me. I'm desperate!

Turn the computer on (even if the hard disk isn't working), put in the Windows Vista CD, restart the computer and by default it should ask you if you want to boot from CD/disk and you should do so. From there, it will load Windows setup off the CD and before you install Windows, you will have an option to choose a hard disk to format. You can complete the format there.

Try Downloading a ubuntu os to a cd and boot off of that then you can format the disk in the ubuntu os ubuntu is a free operating system that is good for this kind of problem

try connect that hard drive to another computer as an external, and right click and push "quick format".
that will be quicker.
or even in this computer you do not have to format the disk if you want to install OS. OS will format itself when you choose that option.
