Snow skiing and Craigs List/Ebay. When do items get posted?
I'm looking for some new snow ski equipment. I've had a pair of boots for years. Recently I noticed they were too small and wanted to post them on Craig's List but I noticed no one else had snow ski stuff up. If you are a Craigs List/Ebay addict, what time of year does that stuff normally go up? I live in the south so eastern mountains don't get snow until Jan but I know out west it's earlier. Same with ski jacket. My old one is just too thick.
I've also decided to quit renting my skis and buy a used set on Craigs List. Have you found it easier to wait until you get to the place (I do my skiing around Salt Lake City) as there are more skiiers? Or on Craig's List would that be too hard since time is of the issue?

If you want to get the most money for your ski equipment, your best bet is to sell it in late November or December when people are looking for equipment. This is when demand is highest, and we all know how supply and demand work. You may want to look at a site called www.tetongravity.com as this is a ski specific site, so you may fetch a little more money if you have descent equipment than you would on Ebay or Craigslist.
Here is the link to their gear swap forum where you can list your equipment:

A good place to look for your new set of skis and boots is www.skis.com. I get a lot of my equipment there, i usually buy two pairs of skis a year (skiing is my vice), as they have a lot of close out skis so you can pick up a new set for 50-70% off.

Often times ski resorts have ski swaps prior to the beginning of the season.
