Why does US financially support other countries when their own citizens are deprived of many amenities?

Your absolutely right! AND,,sadly, the RICH and BIG BUSINESS, decides who and what happens in America..YOU and I have NOTHING to really say as to what happens !! Check out history. "Country doing poorly'',,get a reason to start a war ! Big Business ALL WARS !! Need foreign market for business products or services,,get govt. to send financial air for ''whatever the need is there"! What to SELL your product there,,get govt. to sign a ''free trade agreement''!! Who cares if it is negative for America's trade already ''imbalance" !! In America, BEFORE one dollar goes ANYWHERE around the world, Americans should be EMPLOYED,,HEALTHY, EDUCATED,and ALL of AMERICA's Infrastructure should be in up to date status,,and The Retirement venues of Social Security and Medicare should be totally funded..AND lastly,,American DEBT to Foreign Govts. should be non-existent !!! College for EVERY American totally paid for and available if grades represent it..And the American Gladiators who have tirelessly volunteered and gone to fight for America,NEVER be denied or deprived of ANY Medical or Physical needs in their lives !! IF and WHEN America is in this state,,should we then Become Benevolent !! As far as Policeman of the World, if people Can't or Won't defend themselves, they deserve exactly what they get !! SOLOMON

US should give to israel but not $10bn a year, id rather they gave $1bn a year to israel, and the other $9bn to making the west bank a beautiful place to try and tempt the palestinians away from hamas, coz theyll never be peace for as long as hamas have support.

Makes little sense to me being we have to borrow it to give it away.

It does it basically, even at it and it's own people's expense, to "buy" friends in other countries to slowly expand it's Empire without so overtly looking like it. Look how many military bases we have around the Earth. NO country needs that many to protect it's own land and people unless it's on a conquest. It'd rather it's own people suffer and paint a good picture to the rest of the world, and they're bribed to become our friends and become a "democratic nation" virtually overnight, which never has and never WILL happen. It only causes chaos, but that's fine too. The Military Industrial Complex loves when it feels there's a need, legitimate or not, to build machines of death. The build "smart bombs" but they aren't smart enough to distinguish between an enemy and an innocent civilian, and the people thousands of miles away just shrug their shoulders and chalk it up as collateral damage. No big deal. They didn't know the newly dead or have to see it. They weren't one of the survivors that is now a beggar for everything from food and water, to a calm and safe place to lay their head and sleep while the "upper caste" sit in their palace or White House with servants, protection, plenty of food and a very nice safe place to lay down and sleep. How they sleep with a good and clear conscience is beyond me. Personally, I couldn't live as a bought off puppet of the big corporations and lobby groups. The United States of America for instance is slowly becoming the United States of AIPAC. The U.S. should supply food and seeds when needed, building supplies and expertise when needed, stay out of other countries politically, and other countries stay out of our political business(AIPAC)
