The hostile takeover angle in WCW when the nWo was formed. It was the reason why WCW beat the WWF in the ratings 84 weeks in a row during the Monday Night Wars.

1) The New World Order Invasion of New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) 1997-2000. New Japan Pro Wrestling did a better job with their New World Order Storyline than WCW did.
2) The New World Order Invasion of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1996-1997 in the United States is my second favorite invasion. By 1998 the NWO storylien was going downhill in the United States.

I know that it got a lot of flack from fans, but I really got into the WCW/ECW Invasion of the WWE. It just felt so big and epic, the way that it involved everyone in the WWE at the time. Fortunately it took place before the stupid RAW/Smackdown roster split. For me it really had a sense of drama. Think of the names involved in it: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Kane, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Edge, Christian, Vince McMahon, Kurt Angle, Booker T, Shane McMahon, RVD, Tommy Dreamer, Diamond Dallas Page, The Dudley Boys, The Hardyz, Rhyno and so many others. Every one from the main events to the mid card, all the women, everyone. It was a huge invasion. My favorite moments were when The Undertaker gathered the WWE together and told them that whether they win or go down in defeat, it doesn't matter as long as they go down fighting. And, when the WWE was in their darkest hour none other than "Classy" Freddie Blassie shows up to motivate them. I so wish there could be another massive, company wide story line that brings every in. And, who didn't get pumped up when "Stone Cold" returned to take out the Invasion?

The greatest invasion storyline would hav 2 be for me when the NWO (New World Order) took over WCW. & when Hulk Hogan turned Heel was just gr8.

Probably in 2001 which actually had the PPV called WWF Invasion.
NWO got stale to me after a while in the end I think it went on a little to long.
