Not without completely changing how it is. . .
The mainstream does not want wrestling matches. If it did, companies like ROH would be on top. If it did, then the old TNA, before Hogan and company arrived, would be on top. The mainstream wants the backstage skits, the dramas involved, and punching-kicking matches with flashy finishers. Look at TNA. It had to revert to the sports entertainment style to be noticed more.
NWA, being composed of several independent wrestling groups, won't be able to be a top promotion by producing wrestling matches instead of sports entertainment.

No, The National Wrestling Alliance consists of a lot of Independent Wrestling Promotions that are under the NWA Banner. There is a much greater likelihood of Ring of Honor Wrestling and Dragon Gate USA Wrestling one day catching TNA and continuing to grow and one day challenging WWE.

NWA is not a promotion it is a governing body for a group of independent professional wrestling promotions
