Flying to Canada to visit my fiance for four months?

I bought a ticket on Expedia to go see my fiance. Were getting sponsorship stuff together for my move down there. The thing is, the trip is like 4 months or three unless I'm counting things wrong here. I leave August 16th and I don't return till November 17th

Am I going to have any problems while staying there? Or them letting me through? Last time I went I stayed up there for 3 months, or somewhere close to there and had no problem. I have a passport. I also read that you can stay up there no longer then 6 months so as I read on the the immigration site I'm ok?

Update:

Haha true that Williams :P Ok. I'm just making sure. They usually asked me why I'm coming down or why I'm staying long. I honestly didn't mean to make my stay this long and thought it was three months. But after counting up the weeks I'm like..oh crap that's close to 4 months...Lol =(..Thanks hun <3

Update 2:

Ok actually it's just three months one week and two days. I totally freaked myself over nothing eh..

I assume you are coming from the USA as you said 'up there'.

The immigration officer will either stamp your passport with a 3 or 6 month allowable stay based on your situation, funds available, purpose of visit, where you will stay. It is up to his her discretion for the 3 or 6 months. Some may not even question you at all.

Once you mention that you are going to stay with your fiance the officers next interest and questions will be on your return to the USA. Your proof being ticket, your work commitments and family you will be returning to.

Just be honest and it is doubtful you will have any concerns with receiving the 6 month visa.

Just to add I totally agree with William, Canadian immigration officers are far more relaxed and friendly then many other nations.

You w'ont have any kind of problem with a valid passport just let them know you are going to stay for how long.

They will ask you at the border why you are there and how long you plan to stay. I'm sure you'll have no problem. We Canadians are more friendly and reasonable than our southern neighbors!

You can stay up to 180 days in any calendar year, so you have lots of clearance.
