On-line College Courses?

I am seriously looking to earn a degree and looking at going to college. However with my schedule and time full. How many of you have a degree or are on college on line and how does it work for you?

There is a lot of work involved in obtaining a degree online.

For starters, you have to be very self motivated, organized, independent, and capable of writing down your thoughts with correct spelling and grammar -- many colleges require you to participate in online discussions, do group projects, etc. so the ability to communicate well is an important one!

You might be surprised to learn that there are many four year brick and mortar colleges and universities that also offer online Bachelor Degrees (and beyond). The great thing about that is -- you can trust the degree!

Many allow you to take a combination of classes online and on-campus so you can have the best of both worlds (if your circumstances change). Degrees awarded are often not distinguished between online and on-campus so no one has to know.

Some colleges do have a sample class on their website to give you a taste of what online education is all about. It's a nice way to see if you think it fits for the way you think and work.
