overdrive light on 1996 Ford Crown Victoria is flashing?
We recently swapped engine and transmission as an assembly from a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria LX into a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria, police. It starts and runs fine, and the transmission gets all gears. However, the overdrive off light on the dashboard is now flashing. Also the speedometer does not work, nor does the odometer. It has posted a check engine code, but I have not looked that up yet. as soon s I do i will edit the question.

That Close of A year Should be Ok,Id Double Check Connectors And After I was Positive All Were Tight,I'd Check To Se if The "New' Assembly might Have Had A Bad Sensor From The get Go And Go From There,loose connector Or Bad Sensor.
