clutch problem with nissan truck?

clutch is not disengaging about 3/4 of the time.

clutch is good,no work done on System.

can tell when it will not disengage because the pedal works harder than it should.

there are 3 valves which work the clutch system, not having any visible leaks(hydraulic system)

where do i start to fix this?

thx everyone.

Update:

if the master cyl is leaking, it may show no external evidence. as it can leak back into the reservoir. some external master leaks may not be seen easily. they may leak from the back side into the driver foot area and soak into the carpet.

however, the slave cyl will always show evidence of external leakage if its bad (bypassing). it's an unbalanced single actuating cyl. it designed to function that way under failing conditions. otherwise, it would be possible for it to turn into a rock. fluid has to be able to escape the back/blind side of the cyl.

slaves can accumulate particulate matter/corrode and get sticky, as it is the lowest point in the system. but that's usually from a vehicle sitting for years.

so if there is absolutely no external evidence of leakage, it's either the master or something is askew in the throw out bearing/fork area.

BTW, if you are calling the actuating cylinders valves, there are only two on a hyd clutch system.

"bandit_60" has a point as well, could have tossed a spring on the pressure plate.

sounds like the clutch master or slave cylinder.it doesnt have to have an external leak to be bad.hope this helps.

if your saying the clutch don,t want to release then it could be a bad pressure plate.
