Is this TRUE or a Joke, Need the Truth right away!?

This is no joke. All PC’s on Aug 31st will stop functioning because on a bug in the bios. Somehow when they were made the programming was corrupted for that date. In fact I leave for Hawaii tomorrow to replace the bios in all the machines at Hawaiian Electric.

Here is what you need to do or otherwise you will lose all your data on your machine.

1.) On Aug 29th 2010 before midnight turn off your machine.

2.) Leave your machine off until September 4th 2010.

If you do this you will not have any problems. Otherwise you will need to replace your machine. You read more on snopes.com.

This is fake. There is absolutely no way that this could happen. All pc's are different and there is no universal way to turn them all off at the same time, except for a power cut, but that wouldn't cause you to lose all of your data.

Don't worry about it, it's just a trick made by some sad little boy who deserved to be hit for making innocent people worry.
