Why should we "live life like we're dying"?

What if we didn't hear song lyrics with "live like we're dying" and instead heard media/popular played songs say "live life to make plans for the future for future generations".... maybe we are sabotaging ourselves by listening to the song and media telling us to "live like we're dying" which I understand to live life to the fullest everyday but what if we're getting so caught up in our pleasure that we are truly missing out on making cool plans and starting to work on things for future generations... What do you guys think?

Age has nothing to do with it. Education does not. If you are both mature - not into drinking and partying with the opposite sex, cheating, lying or flirting, then I am sure it will work, regardless of how old you are. But trust me - you have some lines crossed. Marriage does change some things. For example, is it appropriate for my husband to 'leave me home' and go out with friends? how often? in the company of single women? Where do you draw the line? Because at your age, you seem to understand nothing about a secure committed relationship: those things DONT happen. You cannot be wondering where your husband is at 2am with 'the boys' after you marry. He made a choice to choose you over EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. Education has nothing to do with it. The problem people have with college and marriage is the t*tty parties with naked, passed out women. You'll understand when you get a bit older and get MARRIED.

I think "live like we're dying" doesn't necessarily mean getting caught up in pleasure. Treat everyday like it's your last. Care about people, be nice. It doesn't mean not planning for the future either. Some people get too caught up in the future too, so it says to kind of slow down and appreciate things. You know "stop and smell the roses"? Some people don't live long enough to do what they want to, so basically "live life to the fullest" and just be happy.

    The biggest misconception in life

is living it like they'll be no tomorrow,

for clouds or no clouds even the sun

knows, it'll always be in the sky :)

It means to not waste your life watching tv,playing video games,or stay on the computer all day.

It's saying hang out with your friends;Go places with your family.

and have fun everyday if you can.

Because you never know when you're going to die.

    :p
