All wills have to go through probate. If you're asking whether a will must be registered BEFORE death, the answer is no.

PROBATE is what happens after you are departed == and probate is handled through the courts... Please protect your will and have proper witnesses and store those types of papers where your appointed executor or executrix knows where and this is to be a person that you unquestionably trust .... A legal aid [free] office can advise you what to put into your "" Last Will and Testament "" but, I say write it by hand and have your signature notarized so there is no doubt that you signed the document .... {{{ i hope that it is a long time before you have that doc come into play }}}
