Why can I not answer a question?

Question

Someone asked a question about baptism and I answered it. But I wanted to add a little more explanation to my answer and I was going to click on edit, but I hit delete instead. Now I cannot go back in and answer that question....why not?

Thanks, nothing came up asking me to confirm my deletion - it was just deleted.

Because when hit "delete" a box popped up telling you that you were done with that question if you delete it and you pressed "OK"

Why did you follow through with the deletion?  Yahoo puts up another box telling you what you're about to do, meaning you have to re-confirm your decision.

Usually people who press "delete" twice actually want it deleted, so you don't have the option of reposting.

Those are the rules of the Yahoo gods - once deleted you cannot answer the same question.

I did that once. Yahoo thinks if you delete it then you don't want to answer it again. It's like that for a reason.

You can only answer a question once even though your answer was deleted.  You're outta luck.

The way Yahoo works can be frustrating at times.  But, if you have more detail consider asking your own question and then giving more information there.

because yahoo is set up so you can only answer one question once.  if you delete, you are out of luck.
