Spanish - Lector/Reader?
I know there is a Spanish word "lector," which means "reader." I'm just not positive what kind of reader it means. Basically, what I want to be sure of is: Can it be used to mean reader as in, someone who reads a book -- Like, in this sentence: "The author leaves the ending up to the reader's imagination" ?
Just want to be sure =)

Yes, it's used correctly in that example.
"El autor deja el final a la imaginación del lector"
"Lector" simply means a person who reads.

It depends if you are using a formal sentence like the example you put in "lector" will be your best choice. But if not there are other words that have the same meaning but as you know in spanish it is like that you have different words that means the same so for other sentences you will use differents ones.
