Could there be an environmental war or revolt soon?

with more people getting earth conscious and the polluters getting increasingly anti-environmental (silencing people, going out of their way to negate efforts by enviros, and spreading propoganda) and even increasingly proud of the destruction they're causing, do you think it will be long before there's an outright war or armed conflict to protect the planet from these people?

why or why not, and which side would you be on, if any?

This won't cause a major conflict anytime soon. There are way too many people who still don't accept man-made climate change and will side with the big polluters and the politicians who support them no matter what. (For an example of the doubtful, see the majority of comments on this page).

I have absolutely no problem with cleaning up lakes and rivers and getting rid of air pollution. After all who in their right minds wants to live in a garbage dump. The problem with the enviro crowd is they want it all done by next week tuesday, even if they have to totally shut down the worlds industry to do it. Why can't they get it into their solid bone heads that what they want is completely impossible.

No. Environmentalists thrive when the economy is good and people have nothing better to gripe about. With the joblessness, we'll be focused on meeting the needs of ourselves and our families today, we won't have the energy or luxury to focus on the environment that might or might not be an issue tomorrow.

Not only that, but think of the hypocrisy of going to armed conflict over "saving the earth." War isn't exactly "green."

It's not going to happen. People in the US don't have the stomach for war on our homeland. We tend to prefer our wars on television, thousands of miles away. You saw what happened on 9/11 and that was one attack in two cities. I wouldn't bet on war for environmental purposes any time soon.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Take a scan at the volumes of regulations put out by the DEP, or the EPA and get back to me when you find just ONE single page or regulation that doesn't contradict the other.

No because the majority of people want clean water and uncontaminated ground. Global warming However is just a tax grab.

no, but there will be an armed conflict protecting humans from nut job environmental humans.

Hey, I don't want dirty water either, but I'm not going to take hostages and demand sterilization for the human race.

That makes no sense..The planet was made for people..so people pollute, yes..that's normal..not ok, but normal. So instead of fighting with people, why not clean up your own back yard? As for propaganda, think "global warming."

humans don't destroy the earth as much as the crazy leaf heads would like you to think. it's about power and politics, not the earth, stop buying into fake science.
