Could there eventually be an environmental war?
with more people getting earth conscious and the polluters getting increasingly anti-environmental (silencing people, going out of their way to negate efforts by enviros, and spreading propoganda) and even increasingly proud of the destruction they're causing, do you think it will be long before there's an outright war or armed conflict to protect the planet from these people?
why or why not, and which side would you be on, if any?

I support real science not hokie spin. As for a war the first casualty has been claimed.

Most environmental info. is false and comes from Eugenics think tanks who seek a blanket tax by demonizing human behavior. The weak minded who long for a sense of purpose will take all this false info. as gospell. Like the guy in the video.
P.S. Don't kill yourself and others trying to put money in Illuminati pockets.
Source(s): Besides, a war would release huge amounts of CO2 into Mother Earth's pure lungs. Dolphins-intelligent and beautiful-would cry. Acid rain would poison soy beans and a generation would grow up without the joy of tofu. DO YOU WANT THAT! - 1 decade ago
There have been several environmental wars and there are sure to be many more to come.
Entire countries have been up in arms about certain environmental issues. Several South American countries have been fighting about water or the deforestation of the Amazon Jungle. In the middle east countries bordering the once mighty Jordan River are arguing about water rights.
In Africa, there is fighting about who should have rights to claim water from the Nile. Egypt and Sudan are worried that if Central African countries up river draw too much water the Nile will stop flowing before it reaches the sea.
Do I even dare to mention the wars that have been fought to allow certain countries access to oil?
Water scarcity is a challenge that in facing many countries world wide. There is much speculation that the next major world war will be fought amongst countries wishing to retain access to fresh water, both for drinking and irrigation.

so far the environmentalist keep on losing the battle as big corporations have influence on successive elected governments the world over.
and ordinary people are basically powerless when the troops are send in.
this happens the world over for the resources needed for the corporations to make a profit.
watch out for when the drinking water supply runs low.
some politicians have been buying up large blocks of land in Patagonia
sold by mr Moon.

It would be a tragedy if it happens. I can't think of any scenario where wide-spread violence to protect the environment would not be counter-productive. I don't think it will ever happen because most environmentalists understand this.

Could be. A craised eco-terrorist (that was redundant wasn't it) took hostages yesterday and had to be killed by the police before he hurt people. The violence will start with the liberals.

What do you mean "eventually"? Many wars turn out to have an environmental basis, whether it be water or "lebensraum".
