just eat whatever you would eat to go poop. my daughter had trouble pooping for a while ask her dr if you can give her some olive oil that's what her pediatrician recommended but she was already eating solids when she said this so make sure you ask first

You can actually have alcohol as long as long as there is an hour or two break in between your feeding and you have a glass of wine or something not several glasses of hard liquor. Just thought I'd share that information since the alcohol leaves your system within an hour as long as you drank responsibly. It's just not recommended. But do remember that anything you eat-your baby eats. I'm 11 weeks pregnant tomorrow and plan on breastfeeding. I love spicy food but will probably refrain from that for the sake of my baby. And I won't drink until I know my baby's schedule and routine. I think it's a good idea to keep eating as if you were pregnant. Unless you're like me and you're obsessed with spicy food haha.

My daughter is 2 months and breastfed as well.

She used to poop at every single feeding.

Last time she pooped was 3 days ago, and 4 days before that.

    She eats ALL THE TIME!

Her diapers are soaked with urine. That's how I know she is getting enough to eat.

I actually read in "What to Expect the First Year" that it is very normal for breastfed babies to poop once or twice a week as long as their poops are equally runny and not hard which would mean constipation.

Our babies are growing and their bodies are using our milk more efficiently to grow. Because they are using our milk to grow bigger and bigger, there wouldn't be much to poop.

Don't worry, as long as she is urinating like she usually does, as long as her poops are yellow and loose, you have nothing to worry about.

It's _normal_ for breastfed babies to go for a while between dirty diapers. Breastmilk has virtually little waste. As long as she's gaining well, and the poop is soft and profuse then there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Have a read: http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns/bf-links-conc...

Breastfed babies poop very infrequently because they utilize the nutrients so well. As long as she poops at least once a week and the stool isn't hard, there's no need to call the doctor.

Breastfed babies can go a week without pooping. They use nearly everything in the breastmilk, so their bodies don't produce as much poop as babies who are formula fed.
