Why do dogs have eye boogers?

    Because bacteria and debris get into eyes and to prevent damage or infection occurring they produce a mucus substance to expel it.

    It is like the doggie version of sleep, it is very common in dogs with droopy eyes.

    NO CLUE...but we havem too & they need to be cleaned daily to prevent eye infections or worse.
