how can I instant message someone who is currently "off line" ?
i want to leave a message they will receive when they sign in at a later time
i mean that i dont know where to find them at... if they are not on line they doont show up in the window on the right of my email

First of all change your settings to show both your online and offline contacts as follows:
Click on "Contacts" at the top of your Messenger Toolbar.
Click on "Show/Hide".
Click on "Offline Contacts" and "Address Book Contacts".
Both these options should have a tick besides them.
You can then send your offline Contact a message in exactly the same way as you would as online Contact. Your friend will get your message as soon as he or she signs into Messenger.
