In "Red Dead Redemption" is there...?
I just started playing the game "Red Dead Redemption" for the PS3. Is there ANY penalty for when you die? Do you lose anything? Also... can someone explain EXACTLY how you do the shootouts when someone challenges you to a duel. I can't seem to figure out what buttons you're supposed to push... and the instruction guide doesn't really tell you. Any other tips for a new player would be much appreciated, Thanks!

Dueling - The game goes into dead-eye (slow motion) Aim the target to where you wanna put the bullets, legs, arms, nuts, head, wherever u like, and hit the shoot button when the target turns WHITE, this fills the bar up quicker than your opponent, first one to fill the bar unleashes their load into the other player.
As for dying, you just restart from where you begun your mission or last saved the game, the only thing you lose would be the stuff you found before you got killed, for instance, if you started a mission, found some treasure on the way, died, when you re-start, you wouldnt have the treasure, you'd have to find it again.

There is no penalty for when you die, you just start back in your house or where the mission's last checkpoint was. As for dueling you use the analog stick to move the cross hairs to certain places and try to get the bar on the right filled higher than your enemy. The one shot kill places are the hand and face. So make sure to aim for those.

No, you just have to start over from where you saved last. and i havnt played in a while so i forget how to do duels but i think you just move the target over to them and tap the shoot button a bunch of times, its really easy.
