can a coffee bean kill a person?
so the question came from some theories... we all know that objects fall at the same speed no matter the weight. so if a penny being dropped from the Empire State building is capable of killing a person. does a coffee bean have the same potential?
wow, i enjoyed all your answers but now it's time to pick one out for the best answer.

Well, i dont think that a penny dropped from the Empire state building can actually kill someone.
So no, a coffee bean wont kill a person if it is dropped off from the Empire State building.
But.... a coffee bean can kill someone in a different way.
Example : A dumb guy decides to try to eat a coffee bean, he doesn't chew it and he chokes on it. and dies. lol ;].
A lot of people die stupidly. I seen it all on "1000 Ways To Die" on TV.
so dont laugh at my example. hehe :]

No, and neither does a penny, that's a myth.
While being hit by a terminal velocity object like a coin or a bean would certainly hurt, it should not do enough damage to seriously injure someone.
Further, a dropped coin tends to begin tumbling due to its poor airframe, and that greatly reduces its velocity.

Not falling under is own terminal velocity.
But if it were fired at you at a higher velocity it could kill if it hits the right spot on the body.
You can kill with a bullet made of ice if fired in a compressed air gun (Gunpowder melts the bullet).
