Why do men need to know how long my marraige was , now that I'm divorced?
WHY exactly do they need to know if it was a quicky marraige or a long one? How could that possibly matter?? What difference does it make and why would they care? (bear in mind, this is coming from a man who wants to date me).

The shorter the marriage, the more outgoing you should be.
If you were married 25 years, you may have a habit of talking about your ex husband more than you realize and many of your stories will include your ex. Guys don't want to hear that.
