2004 JETTA SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING?

Was driving at highway speed 70 or so and I thought the car shook,then noticed the speedometer wasnt working!! Is this anything I should get looked at soon?

Update:

I have a badge so tickets are not the concern here,lol...

unless you enjoy speeding tickets i would. and the shaking is a bit concerning as well.

Probably your speed sensor went out, you should get it looked at though
