how can I get my money back from the Wind. Vista up(down) grade?

I wasted money WITH Windows by upgrading from Vista Home Edition to Premium Home Edition. IS there any way to get Windows to swap up to Windows 7 or crank me back down to Home Edition and refund my money....I didn't ORDER The Vista when my computer was ordered AND Windows didn't tell me that Windows 7 was just a few weeks down the road when I upgraded....I am so p is sed with DELL And Windows I am considering scraping all the Windows junk in my home and invest ONLY in APPLE....

Update:

Okay, heres the deal, the oldest child ordered this for us in Dec. 2007, and we were expecting Windows XP in the system...Wrong, we got burned with the VISTA. I ordered the Upgrade in September of 2009...Not a peep from Windows about the NEW program...

The Child has dumped Windows for Apple and is happy....Big deal so I can't get Raiders of the Boggy Land in Apple...I couldn't care less...Seamless operating seems to be a more important feature...

Dell included FREE upgrades to anyone who bought computers from them with Vista with a few months prior to the release of Windows 7. Didn't you take advantage of this?

Not sure how you ordered a computer but didn't know what operating system it had. Please explain in greater detail.

Your best bet would be to call and through a fit. Companies don't like unreasonably angry people and will often submit to their demands, so you could demand that they send you a copy of windows 7 or something.

Don't go apple, if you think you wasted money on windows, just wait until you get a mac...

In the future, make sure you research what you are buying to make sure you're actually buying something you want, as Premium edition is not really different from Home for the average user. It's more something you'd buy instead of Home initially, not upgrade to.
