Yahoo!'s intent was to allow pornographic and otherwise abusive avatars to be more quickly reported and removed. Previously, we were encouraged by the Yahoo! Answers Team to report abusive avatars and nicknames by reporting a question or answer of the abuser and noting in the text field where the abuse was. However, many members weren't aware of this route with regard to avatars/nicknames, and the response time to Y!A reports can often be slow, so a quicker, easier means of reporting was required. Now, if an abusive avatar is spotted on Y!A, you can visit their Pulse profile (click "View profile" in their My Activity) and just click Report Abuse from that page. Additionally, since Pulse settings affect all Yahoo! properties, removing the Y!A avatar via Pulse will also remove it from the other Yahoo! properties.

And yes, now if you edit your answer, your response will drop to the latest spot in the answer chronology. This hinders place-holding, avatar games, and copying of a later answer to appear first.
