how to eliminate mistaken 'abuse report' in Yahoo answers?

    Hold it.

    When you hit the 'report abuse button', it takes you to where you file the report. You have to choose both the category of the violation AND send it along to them. Merely clicking on the button does nothing and you can always back out with no harm done.

    Thumbs down is something different

    There is nothing you can do. It usually takes more than one abuse report anyway for anything to happen.
