I think it's spot on. Jon is well-read, funny and a terrific interviewer, and has the ability to motivate people to assemble for worthy causes. He seems to have impressed and established credibility with world leaders who often appear as interview guests, providing insight that you just don't get on any of the softball news programs.
Jon's comedic take on the news is so much more truthful than any of the mainstream media, and he has you laughing instead of crying.

I don't find it hard to believe. At least the viewing audience realizes that his is a comedy act. Give me him as #1 over the #21 choice anytime. #21 has some clever skit writers, but all of the people can't be fooled all of the time.

I think the poll is incorrect, and irrelevant. No idea, other than a comedian, who Jon Stewart is. He certainly doesn't influence anyone I know. Then again, depending on what group you ask, and how you word the question, one can get any answer sought.

Really? He pays attention to the foibles and faults of the political establishment and points it out humorously but he does have serious intent behind the comedy I believe. I think he is very concerned about how out society is becoming less informed. I think the "Sanity" he refers to is the uncivilized behavior of people in this country. He is educated, informed and astute.
