Please help me solve this inequality: 9x + 7 < 8x – 2?
I am having trouble understanding this. Please explain the steps if possible. I thank you in advance.

9x +9 < 8x (add 2 to both sides)
9 < -x (subtract 9x from both sides)
-9 > x (divide by -1 from both sides... and since you divided by a (-) then you must flip the sign)
anytime you multiply or divide by a (-) you must flip the sign.
