Why am I still getting e-mails to connect to strangers on Yahoo?
Just about every day, I have been recieving e-mails asking me to connect with people on Yahoo that I don't even know, sometimes up to 30-50 e-mails a day! I am smart enough to not add strangers to my contacts, but the amount of e-mails are getting rediculous and beyond annoying! Is there any way to report this to Yahoo or make the e-mails stop coming to my inbox?
I know that this is a problem (I have researched the topic on Answers before) and that other people are having the same issues. However, I followed the advice on my e-mail to not allowing recieving updates, and I still get the e-mails! What can I do about this? I want them to stop!
Thanks in advance for your help! =)

It appears to be a new way of spamming, if you accept them and connect them it has been reported they give a link to a porn site infected by drive by malware . The only way to stop it seem s to be on your privacy settings in pulse. Basically ban everything.

These are all spammers with a link to a virus.
On My Activity click Edit My Preferences. Click Privacy and Communication. Scroll down and click Don't share my updates. Click Submit. Also on the mail screen click Options. Then at the top of the list uncheck Enable updates, upper left click Save Changes.
This will slow it down. You have your Profile for Pulse showing, so you will get some after you do the above. I just mark them spam and it stops. You can also click the View Profile icon and hide your profile, but then your avatar won't show on Q&A
You can also click this link http://pulse.yahoo.com/y/settings/email_%E2%80%A6 and set invites to "No".

You can thank Yahoo for this latest mess up---and, last I heard, they aren't going to do anything about it. It's up to you to fix it in your Pulse settings.
Try this.
One suggestion I found---from the Yahoo Answer Team---which "seems" to be working to stop it is>>>>>
Mouse over your Hi Name (top left), and click on "Profile" to open your Pulse page.
On that page click on "settings" (top right).
Scroll to "Notifications" and click on "manage email notifications".
Then check the "NO boxes on the Invites". (all of them).
Click "Done".

I get offers to be sent sexy pictures after connecting with strangers or new "dating" sites with suggestive names.
Stop receiving e-mails, change it on your profile.
