any way to create keyboard shortcut for "Enter" in browser bar (Chrome, Mac)?
I hate that the latest version of Chrome seems to have removed the icon for "Go" at the end of the browser bar...at least I can't find one.
That means that every time I want to copy a url into the browser bar and go to the site, I have to remove my hand from the mouse, find and press the Enter key on the keyboard, then move hand back to mouse. Huge waste of time and bad design.
I use a Mac OS , and tried to change one of the "Keyboard Shortcuts" (>System Preferences >Keyboards) to another command for the Enter key --like Cmd + W, or Cmd + Shift + D-- but neither change worked; just did what they would have done previously (closed a tab, etc).
Is there something I'm missing? Or is there perhaps another way to get around having to physically press the Enter key to go to a url. Or am I changing the Keyboard Shortcut incorrectly?
Or any other suggestions, short of reinstalling an older version of Chrome?
Thanks for any help!
Diane B.
What does "hover over Enter" mean in this case? Hover usually refers to holding the pointer of the mouse over something on the screen as far as I know, but where is "Enter" on the screen?
Bex Ed, I am asking about a *custom* shortcut that could be completed using the left hand, so I can leave my right hand on the mouse for scrolling after being taken to the new url, further browsing, etc.
Yay, thank you anonymous! That will definitely work if I can't find a left-hand keyboard shortcut. Learn something new every day.

when you right click over the url bar to paste the url, there's an option below the "paste" option which says "paste and go" you can just click that and it'll automatically go to the url you pasted

Hard telling - all we can do is speculate. First - I don't think hell is eternal hellfire. I think you just get left behind - cause you didn't want to be with God. That being said....I suppose if I were a mother - and my child had many problems - many struggles - many painful obstacles through life (as we all do) that I would not take back the decision to bring the child into the world. Even if the child was seriously injured at some point - even if the child developed a serious sickness - even if the child were to end up seriously disabled - even if the child were to eventually die a horrible death - even if the child grew to be hooked on drugs and gave up a good life - even if the child one day committed suicide....etc etc I cannot think of one horrible circumstance that could happen to my kid - or by my kid's own decisions that would make me withdraw the decision to let my kid have a chance to live life. Even though I think that comparing our own thought process to God's is an absurd idea - this is my speculation - he gave us all free will. Some will believe - some will not. He did not create you individually. He created humans in the beginning and everyone has made their own decisions since. Your parents created you - not God. If God removed their decision to do so, he would have to remove the decisions of all people.

Maybe try using your other hand to press enter, if it takes too long to use that hand, hover over enter before you paste.
