POLL: Did you know that today is the aniversary of Kristallnacht?

Kristallnacht (aka Night of Broken Glass) was held from November 9-10, 1938 in German and Austria during the Holocaust. On these days, thousands of Jewish shops and homes were burned down, and windows shattered. Not to mention over 30,000 people were shipped to concentration camps and plenty more were killed.

I didn't know it was the aniversary of Kristallnacht until I looked it up on Wikipedia. I saw a mention of it under the seciton on Yahoo that lists what's trending.

Update:

I got my information from the Wikipedia article about Kristallnacht.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristallnacht

Update 2:

@BottomsUp, not quite. The Franks didn't go into hiding until the 1940s.

Update 3:

It's just an interesting fact that I thought I'd share. After all, the Holocaust/WWII was an important event for the whole world.

Update 4:

@Reef, Thanks!
