Why is so easy for christians to dismiss the possibility of zombies based on a lack of evidence, but?

The lack of evidence of a god only makes their faith stronger. How does that make any kind of sense?

Update:

Little tweety, that is EXACTLY the point I'm making.

In my own personal case, I was raised in a devoutly Christian household that denied the existence of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, vampires, werewolves, fairies, leprechauns and zombies, but was taught from the very beginning that God was absolutely, positively real. Religion was presented to me as if it were proven fact. I was taught to never, ever question the existence of God under any circumstance. Then I was sent to religious schools that reinforced the same basic notion. I was taught that I was absolutely not to question the existence of God, and that the only evidence I needed was the word of my parents and teachers. That may have something to do with it.

Actually people talk about the lack of evidence to support the Bible a lot, but there is a lot of evidence. I have read several books where people who seek to dethrone the Christian religion become Christians as they start to locate the evidence. "A Case for Christ" and " A Case for a Creator" are to very good examples that display tons of evidence to support things in the Bible, that were unknown until searched for.The historical accuracy of the Scriptures is likewise in a class by itself, far superior to the written records of Egypt, Assyria, and other early nations. Archeological confirmations of the Biblical record have been almost innumerable in the last century. Dr. Nelson Glueck, probably the greatest modern authority on Israeli archeology, has said:"No archeological discovery has ever controverted a Biblical reference. Scores of archeological findings have been made which confirm in clear outline or in exact detail historical statements in the Bible. And, by the same token, proper evaluation of Biblical descriptions has often led to amazing discoveries." I hope this helped you understand, and for future reference, to avoid offending people put questions like that a little less intrusively.

Zombies have been proven real (sort of)

in Haiti the voodoo doctors give a powerful drug that makes a person seem dead and damages the brain

when the victim is revived he can be used as a slave to do simple tasks

the belief is something like a transcendent god outside and above our know universe is common to almost every culture

the existence or non-existence of a god cannot be proven or dis-proven by science

    Source(s): physics and philosophy

What does the existence of zombies have to do with the existence of a creator? Your point was rendered useless when you started using off the wall examples as an argument against a creator. I say if a person, any person, can't use actual information to back their argument up, then there is no argument(debate).

That is why I said: What does the existence of zombies have to do with the existence of a creator?

It would be like someone presenting an argument about how Cigarettes should be illegal, due to negative affects they have on your health. As a counter argument, I start talking about how exhaust and everything else can be harmful to your health. That is not a good counter argument, because I am going off topic. If I can't prove to them that cigarettes should remain legal, without going off topic, then perhaps I should "shut up and sit down."

That is why it is of vital importance that you know your information, because not doing so gives you little choice, that, in the end, will turn out to be weak argument or counter argument.

There actually are zombies in the Bible. Not only were there numerous people coming from the dead, but there is this one part where people in graves all get up and go after people. LOL. Too bad I can't remember which book and verse it's at, but zombies are in there. LOL.

Just because we believe in one thing does not mean that we believe in everything. Besides, your definition of evidence and mine are not necessarily the same. I see the natural world around me as being evidence of a God. You may say otherwise. According to my definition of evidence, I have yet to see any of zombies.

You are wrong in your premise. There are mountains of evidence of God. But you will not accept them.

Everyone believes what is in their heart to do so. They only later come across evidence later. Atheists and Christians alike. I however was an atheist that found myself asking God one day if he were real and if so, to reveal who he was. And he did!

You do might desire to be greater particular in who you label a Christian. There are approximately 2 billion human beings how are categorized as Christians. Now this parent is, of path, incorrect because it contains me because of the fact, in spite of the actuality that on all my documentation I point out i'm atheist, of path no person in the corporate takes any observe. Of that 2 billion, it is in basic terms some cranks who're anti technology who, blinded by skill of superstition, p.c. to forget approximately approximately each and all of the massed info for the super bang, abiogenesis and evolution. those tiny few basically shout the loudest and are nasty adequate to objective to stress their ridiculous evaluations onto harmless little ones. it is, of path, a sort of latest child abuse. inspite of the undeniable fact that i might desire to re-state - it is yet some, very few. I additionally question if, as they are so faith blinded, you ought to use the term 'Christian' for them in any respect. the single - and in basic terms - good concern approximately Christians is they are turning out to be, on the finished, quite a tolerant bunch. confident - it is genuine they are basically the left overs of a superstition which in now pointless and valueless. yet they are sort of like a superstitious humanitarians. inspect purple go, Christian help, Relate, Samaritans, etc. The bunch who're so superstitious as to be thirteenth C have little in the way of humanity approximately them. basically inspect the solutions and questions they raze right here. For get 'be responsive to him by skill of his extensive sort!' - understand 'be responsive to them by skill of their movements!' it is exciting that fundamentalists of what ever faith have greater in basic by skill of their hate than their faith or by skill of their love.
