Needing a good van, any suggestions?
Our 2002 Chrysler needs more work than I care to put in it, so looking to buy something new. We are a family of 6, plus two animals and we do alot of traveling. I need something that can hold us, pets, luggage, and not be super squished. I was looking at the Honda Odyssey 2010 and the Chrysler T&C 2010 with swivel seats (be nice for the kids). I looked at the Kia, but it has no grocery space at all in the trunk. So thought on the Honda and Chrysler, or suggestions on something else would be great!
I want a 2010, for the discount. I'm leaning towards Chrysler because I can get an employee discount ( parent worked there 20+ yrs.).

The Honda Odyssey.
Your 2002 Chrysler needs a lot of $$$ work. My 2002 Honda with and 140,000 miles is still tight and runs smooth and strong not a rattle or a hiccup, and we have loaded it down and moved across country with the kids and pets... TWICE!
I have owned several vehicles and have Hondas to be the best for the dollar, they may cost a little more in the beginning, but the lack of problems And their long lives mae the value exceptional.

The Caravan/T&C is STILL the top rated van on the market.
However my dad switched from T&C (after 5 in a row) to an Odyssey 3 years ago and he loves it as well.
I'd lean toward you getting another Dodge for one reason and it's the exact reason my dad switch TO the Honda. Size...
He didn't need the size of the Dodge/Chrysler anymore. The Honda is much smaller AND more expensive side by side, feature for feature.
You need the bigger van.
Why experiment with a Sienna or something..Stick with the best van on the market...

The new Sienna for 2011 has the most cargo room. You won't be too disappointed with any mini van offerings. However if space is a major concern and fuel economy second, a Savana 1500 or E150 full size van might be up your alley. I'd choose the Savana over the E150 for the more powerful V8. Resale value holds strong with the full size passenger vans as well and they can push toward 20mpg highway. AWD can be made available on the GM full size van as well but fuel economy and payload both suffer some.
