Alrighty, YOU STUPID DS WIFI! how to set up an internet that's password protected?

...hm.

i use a DS.

a black, DS lite.

OK, so. I have a bigpond 3EF5 internet with a password (i live in australia, if that helps.)

I can't search for that acess point, I get "access point not supported go to nintendowifi.com for more info."

well, it's not really helpful, and i'm going to ask you guys.

I manually set it up, and only to get "error 51301"

ARGH.

well, this sucks.

I'll just go connect my linksys onto my bigpond and since linksys doesn't have a password it works. Only, i think there's someone on my street using it too - as in, abusing it. (hmph.)

so, is this the only option ihave?

Well, you can set the Wifi up for Limited periods of Time, Eventually, the moocher will get tired of connecting to a WiFi signal that's only on Sporadically. Leave it off for a week, leave it on for two days, Leave it off for a day, Keep it on for a month. keep up the on-off thing up randomizing the amount of time you keep it on and turn it off each time. your mooch will get tired.

    EDIT

You might want to check the Nintendo Support website for more info

Sure it is. Any neighbour, or anyone using beyond might hook up with it and down load enough to role any customer over their per thirty days down load avoid. This costs them a quality, and even cutting off their service till the establishing of the following month's agreement interval. Additionally whether it is unsecured any one regional with a wireless pc can learn VERY packet sent in transparent text, adding individual names and passwords, emails, and banking addresses. This is in addition a hazard at unfastened wif points. And to your own wifi, if it used to be as soon as unsecured by way of the factor you have gotten learn this a regional criminal could have sent countless numbers of hundreds and hundreds of little one porn or coins scam emails from your account. These will hint again to you, and it'll be your door the police could damage down (truthfully, they don't knock) and your whole gear they would confiscate pending a constructive prosecution.

Do some research and see if the nitendo ds supports N-Wireless networks or G-Wireless networks. It'll probably work.
