Why do people insist that NASCAR, expanded the Chase to 12, because of Jr?
The Chase expanded to 12 for the 2007 season, Jr finished 5th in 2006 however Tony Stewart missed the Chase in 2006 and won 3 races during it, hence the expansion. Kinda hard to expand something to 12 for a driver who was already in the top-10 don't you think?
Kahn what the f*ck are you talking about idiot?
Jrh88er, I guess you forget that Jeff Gordon also missed the Chase the first time Jr did as well and finished 11th. BTW maybe they can add in Kyle's Nationwide and CWTS points and get Kyle a top-5 points finish(Jr's got 3 of those including 1 under the old points system with no points reset.)

I know right! I mean....they'd have to add the top 25 in the chase for him to make it!

I don't think that Dale jr. is the reason that they expanded the number of cars in the chase or Tony for that matter. They have been tweaking the Chase system every since it's inception. This was just one of those tweaks!

Because everyone knows that the chase was expanded from 10 to 12 to lower the chances of Jr missing the chase. If you remember the first time that Jr missed the chase he was in position #13, it took one year for NASCAR to implement the changes...to say that the chase was changed for Tony Stewart is a total FARSE, TS is not even close to being the most popular driver in NASCAR, heck he does not even have THAT many fans....

True I feel the reason behind expanding it to 12 was to give more drivers "chance".They need put it back to 10 and after each race eliminate the lowest driver in the chase standings so by the time it gets to Miami it will be a two driver chase.(If you do not as give agree with my idea positive feedback why.)

Because everybody talks and "insists" but very few of them are qualified to do so. I agree with you. It's not long ago Jr was a top driver in the series.

Because they "heard it somewhere".. Probably the Internet..
Don't confuse people that have never even watched an entire race on TV, with race fans, or NASCAR fans..

Because they don't know and they are trolls.
