is it difficult to drive in manhattan on thanksgiving day?

I need to go to the east side of manhattan from westchester and I'm wondering if traffic will be impossible Thanksgiving morning between 10 and noon

    Well, the parade and most of the traffic tie-ups are on the West Side, so, if you keep to the East Side of the city as you come down from Westchester, using, for example, the Thruway down to the Major Deegan and onto the East Side Drive, you'll be alright, but if you come down the West Side and try to cross over, god help you!

    The East Side is okay, its the West Side the going to have the traffic mess since the street along the parade route will be closed to all car traffic.

    Probably yes. You're better off going to Grand Central and taking Metro North instead.
