Can they test you for THC in a drug test when you have a green card?

When you get a job that requires a drug test upon hiring you, are they allowed to even test for THC when they administer the drug test? Also Do you have to allert your potential employer that you have one before the test?

Medical marijuana is not covered by ADA laws, so an employer does not have to excuse THC in your system.

They also do not have to fire you for finding it.

While you are not obligated to tell your employer about prescriptions that have no bearing on work performance, I'd say something before the test. If it comes back without an explanation, you're going to look like a pot head. It's coming back as a fail regardless, at least this way the boss would know that it was "legal" under state law.

Yes, they can test you for drugs if you have a green card. Yes, they can test for THC (cannabis). Your potential employer will probably already know your citizenship status before testing.
