never anything bad about having it running longer it moves more air from the cold areas as well. circulation is never a bad thing. with the new high efficient furnaces out today they are better running more often than for long periods of off. it will also make alot more areas comfortable ( hot and cold areas of house)

It depends of the furnace...As long as the furnace heat elements still hot for as long as those 3 minutes then you'll be right..If the air starts getting too cold at the 3 minutes elapsed time, then you must try a shorter cycle as for example like # two..Good luck..
