Should Kyle Busch's Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series Wins be counted for Cup points.?

Then maybe he could finish in the top-5 in points more than once.

Update:

Since some people around seem to equate wins in those series with Cup wins.

Update 2:

Winter, when people make stupid remarks about using MPD votes for a Championship i have to do something back. Besides what's the point of winning 14 races in Cup over the last 3 years and having an average points finish of 10th.

Update 3:

Actually MBL, we can over the same time frame in his career Jr had 3 top-5 points finishes compared to Kyle's 1 and came closer to winning a Cup championship than Kyle ever has.

Update 4:

Of course KIA, it's just like the driver they support. Cry because Jimmie won't move over for you at Martinsville(hello Jimmie had position he's not just going to give it to you), cry because Harvick dumped you for being a rolling chicane at Homestead.

Update 5:

Actually rapid, that's the folks who seem to think that 200 wins in 3 series is equal to 200 wins in 1 series. I'm guessing since Kyle's got 80 some odd wins now I guess that puts him up there with Cale.

No Sir i do no longer think of Kyle Busch will win the tenting worldwide truck sequence for the fact he's not working an entire schedule. If he ran an entire schedule i've got faith he might win it hands down.

why does JR always get tossed into every answer? Kyle is a very talented driver. if he settled down and used his head and not emotional muscle he would win more often in Cup. I think we all can agree with that. cant we? to answer your question, NO! starting next year he will have to make a choice. what series does he want points for? we can all assume he will pick Cup points. it would be career suicide not to. I also think we will see a calmer more relaxed Kyle next year. he will be more of a factor in the chase points in 2011. (I like kyle but I am not a fan)

Oh, here we go. I'm going to go grab some popcorn real quick.

I agree, though. It's probably clear to most people here that I can't stand Kyle, but even with that said, he is a good driver with a lot of potential. BUT, he is not what his fans crack him out to be. When he can do as well as he has done in the minor leagues in the Cup series, I'll keep my mouth shut about it. I just don't see him coming close to dominating the Cup series anytime soon. There's many drivers that are flat out more talented than Kyle in the Cup series, especially when Kyle's piss poor attitude kicks in.

Yes, Richard Petty won a lot of those races at campgrounds, fairgrounds, racing 4 nights a week. Actually the races that Kyle competes in has a lot stiffer competition than what Petty had in the so-called "cup series."

About as much as Jr's most popular driver awards should be counted for Cup points.

Added: As far as his Cup performance goes, let's not forget he won as many races in 2010 season alone as Jr's won in the last 6 seasons combined.

So if Kyle is failing at the big league level..what's that say about Jr?

I don't think any Jr fans are in a position to tease Kyle Busch.

No rational minded person is saying his lower division wins should count as much as Cup wins.

edit: Yeah yeah yeah, thanks. I'm very aware of both driver's records to date. Just poking some fun.

Well according to some of his fans they should. It would be like Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan playing college ball and letting the stats in college ball count toward their NBA stats. Think about it, I know this isn't like any other sport but nobody would care for their stats in a "minor league" if they've been successful in the Major league level. Of course JR races in Nationwide but that's only a handful of races per year and because it's fun for him, Kyle races in Nationwide and Trucks both to race more AND to try setting little records. I guess they should have got Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire (when they were competing for most HWs) to go into college baseball games and hit homeruns to set records there to.

But let me put some Kyle Busch fan logic on themselves. JR has won the Nationwide Championship 2 times back to back while Kyle has only won it once. JR won his 2 his rookie year and the year after (98 and 99) so he won his 2 the first and only 2 full time seasons. While it took Kyle 4 full time seasons to get his 1. So JR got his 2 in half the time it took Kyle to get his 1. Also once JR went into Cup full time he's only ran in Nationwide up to 5 or 10 races per year. One more thing, if that rule was put in years back about full time Cup drivers not able o get the Championship, Kyle wouldn't have won his 1 while JR would still get his 2, why? Kyle had already been in Cup full time 4-5 years before getting the Nationwide Championship, while JR got both of his during his Nationwide rookie year and the year after (98 and 99), in 99 he still wasn't full time in Cup yet by only running 5 out of the 34 races.

But hey I guess it's ok for Kyle and any other driver to not have the right crew chief or people but then JR should be a top driver no matter who they have with them. If JR couldn't drive anymore then Hendrick would seriously drop him because he doesn't NEED JR to keep making him money, so if Rick didn't think he could cut it anymore then Rick wouldn't be trying to already sign a contract extension with JR even though JR's contract isn't even up until the end of 2012. Rich sure as hell wouldn't pay top dollar for a so called mediocre driver. Rick is a better business man for that. Unlike Kyle which wasn't paying the contractors for the new building, remember that?

Ok now for real though, RIGHT NOW Kyle is a better driver but if JR actually has the right people with him then JR is even or a little better. At least JR doesn't drive aggressive and then get whiney when someone else races him hard. Kyle just seems to think it's ok to race someone hard but God forbid they race him hard, then he'll whine to the spotter and crew chief about it. By the way I do like aggressive driving, but at least be man enough to take someone driving aggressive against you. Don't whine about someone actually racing you in a race, imagine that.

should a quarterback's high school and college touchdowns count in the NFL? didn't think so. his NAtionwide and truck series wins should count in that series. his wins in the cup series should count in the cup series. nothing else.

    Kyle is a whiner.

    Jr. is a loser

It all boils down to bashing, like 75% that's done on here.it has nothing to do with Drivers or their Stats. except a opportunity to bash! to lash out at someone without fear of being held accountable of their remarks. most of you that do, act like little Punk Boys calling names and showing just how ignorant and immature you really are. They don't want nobody talking smack about their own driver ,but they are the first to slam another. Just a bunch of Loser Crybabies!

Should a major league baseball team get extra wins added to their record becuz their minor league team is good?
