How can I give money to someone that lives in another state?

I live in California and my friend lives in Utah.

Handing him the money in person is not an option.

Hiring someone to drive and go give it to him is not an option.

the only option for me is to send the money in an envelope and hope it doesnt get lost and most likely stolen.

I need to send him $150

is there a better way for him to get the money without me having to send it through the mail?

money orders are dumb because they arent insurable and it costs money i think it costs $5 to send $20 so its a big rip off...

I need some more ideas..
