Yeah, I think the camera stores the lat and long info. If you've saved the pictures with the geographical info, yes, you will be able to show people the spot 20 years from now. The new Sony A55 DSLR is a good GPS camera.

Coordinates are stored, invisible, in the file's header information. Assuming we still use jpg in 20 years then yes, someone can locate the spot.
There's quite a few cameras now that offer this but there's also seperate gps loggers. Sync time between the logger and your camera and the logger does the rest. Data is either joined on your computer or when you insert the card into the logger.
