it's pretty sad when a child's parent dies...?

and they get social security and when they turn 18 and a senior in high school and quit their job and think that social security is for them to spend on what they want...like a brand new car. Their "spending" money only good til they graduate. Social security needs to change the law to be sure the 18 year old child pays its bills for what it is really tend to use in the first place...to see fit what the child needs not want. No wonder us tax payers are angry and the social security will be broke in years to come...already the retires and soon retires will have crap when it comes to retires.

Update:

I didnt say anything about a person having a hard time and in need of social security...I am referring a kid who quit his job all because of social security money...for 5 months til they graduate. wanting to spend on "toys" and not bills. what I mean by retires I think I misspelled it...old people who retires from working 20 to 40 years of hard work in their lives. I dont have anything against people who uses other taxpayer's money wisely.

Update 2:

I am not angry...I'm just looking out for my neice's future. She had a great job for a teenager..not a fast food restaruant... to quit her job. I'm sure if you were in the same boat...it's a whole different story for you. I'm just a concerned family member for her future...that's all.

Whats really sad is when a parent dies and there will be no social security for the child, at all. The parent made choices in life that lead him to the inability to get a real job therefore never paid out for social security. So his 5 year old son will get nothing. Brandon (my nephew) was 27 and died last March going 100 mph on a crotch rocket. Now that's sad. BTW.........did you know when you die and you have a homemade tattoo on your body, your organs can not be donated? Brandon was an organ donor on his drivers license and the funeral home told us it can't happen. Lesson to all, make good decisions in your life when you have children, don't act careless on the road and don't get homemade tattoos. RIP Brandon. :(

Excuse me? This is an extremely rude assumption. I'm sure some 18 year olds take it for granted that social services can benefit them. I don't have any parents and I have never depended on social services for basically anything. Plus, what do you have against people that have no parents using social services, they have had it hard and sometimes they can be depressed so it might be hard for them to find a job and what not. My brothers and sister all have used social security for when they need it, not because they were too lazy to get a job and get it themselves, they all have jobs and pay for everything themselves in a stable living environment with stable income. And what the.....what do you mean "retires"

Edit: YES you see you you were completely oblivious to the fact that you were talking about EVERYONE that has EVER lost their parents, not JUST your niece. Don't do it again, because as someone else said, you're just being a b*tch!

  • I think you are angry because you can't get a share of what social security has to offer.

I'm sure that some 18 year old is out buying foolish things with the money that they have. . . but who are you to judge what they do with it? I'm sure you've spent money you didn't honestly earn on foolish things at one point in your life. . . right?

Oh, and by the way, don't you know that social security doesn't pay that much anyway? If you can pay your bills with $1000 a month, then more power to you, but I know that won't put a dent in my bills.

Stop complaining, grow up and move on.
