Reporting people on Yahoo Answers, do reported answers get "deleted" right away? I've recently started?

reporting spammers, but I've noticed that once I report their "answers" and look back at the question, their response disappears. HOWEVER, when you take a look at their profile, the questions they answered are still present. Shouldn't those questions be removed since the answer was deleted?

When you click on the question, their answers aren't there, but it is still shown that they answered (on activity page).

Is this normal functioning, or is this something newly implemented by Yahoo Answers?

Are the answers actually deleted or just "invisible"?

NOTE: The answers are "deleted" as soon I report them. I'm guessing I'm like a top reporter or something....

Update:

EDIT: If possible, help me with these.

Normally when you report a spam answer and it gets deleted, it should also get deleted from the list of questions the spammer has in his profile, but ever once in a while the system gets the hiccups and doesn't work the way it should.

There are loan scammers on YA, home remedy spammers, call girl spammers - it has gotten so bad that with the approval of YA an official spam battle thread was opened on the suggestion board where quite a few users co-ordinate their efforts in fighting back. Apparently our efforts are effective and start hurting those spammers as it costs them money. From what I've seen at your links, those are exactly the type of accounts which could get reported to the battle thread! Please take a look and join the fight if you like:

Look at the bottom of the list of answers to be SURE that the answers you reported have truly been REMOVED - and not just hidden. Reporting causes the answer you reported to 'shrink' and be hidden at the bottom of the list. Only by checking there can you be absolutely certain they are really totally removed.

Also, you need to 'refresh' the list of questions on the person's profile page. It can take a few moments for the answer removal to show up on the profile page by the question disappearing from the list.

Finally, if you REALLY want to get VERY efficient at removing spam - and become a TRUE top reporter - just click the Suggestion Board link on the ABOUT tab. There, find the PINNED thread called The Official Spammer Battle Thread. Start posting links to the spammers profile pages at the bottom there, help report the ones other folks post - and wipe out a LOT of them really, really fast!

They don't delete you for reporting, especially if you report something that has no place on yahoo. I've reported answers and questions that I thought were offensive. Some they agree with, others they don't. The ones they agree with (the yahoo Gods) they delete from the general viewers sight, but may stay on the reported person's yahoo page.

I've also been reported, both Q&A's and I always appealed, but have never had anything reinstated. All they do is send you that ridiculous "form e-mail".

Don't worry about it, but never expect to get any kind of explanation from yahoo. I'd get angry at first and would appeal 2, or 3 times and realized I was wasting my energy. So when I get a violation notice, I look at it out of curiosity and then just delete it. It's a waste of time trying to get anywhere with yahoo. Who knows if they really even have people who monitor this stuff, or if it's all computerized.

The questions they answer should be deleted, it's probably just a glitch. I report to much so that's why the things I report hardly ever get deleted.
