Help with terminal identification Robertshaw ignition control?
I'm trying to get a Lennox furnace going that had a RobertShaw SP735L ignition control, my problem is that I can't find out what terminal "TR" on this board is for?? I've confirmed that this control is defective, but must replace it with a Honeywell universal unit, but I can't identify the function of TR on the old board(SP735L lennox # 18G9101)?????
Sorry for leaving that out, the diagram that's in the door has nothing to do with system. For whatever reason the door has been replaced at some time in the past. I hate to rip the whole unit apart to get to the other control board, to trace what TR was doing. I checked out the link you sent, and that's actually the way I was leaning, but it seemed odd to me that TR wire went back to the furnace control module.

Take a look at the wiring diagram, it should be on the inside of the access panel. Hopefully it will show what it controls.
or physically trace the wire to see where it goes.

I'm thinking the TR is for the transformer ground/neutral. The TH W is from R to power the board from the thermostat and TR is the neutral. That is, located on the new universal module.
