Christians: If Jesus sacrificed his life for all humans why does he still have his life? Shouldn't he be dead?

Update:

@Paul, then he didn't sacrifice anything because he is still alive

    A few reasons

1 he was a sinless sacrifice, something no one else will ever be able to do.

2 the flesh and blood were sacrificed for our sin, Not the spirit the flesh.

3 Jesus was raised with a spiritual body (not a spirit) but a spiritual BODY.

So he lost His human existence (the flesh) just like we all will, but because of His sacrifice of His flesh we will be saved and live with Him with our new spiritual bodies.

    1 John 3:2

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

    1 Corinthians 15:44

It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Three things that you understand wrongly.

    1) The sacrifice is in the Incarnation.

6 Who, being in very nature God,

    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

7 rather, he made himself nothing

by taking the very nature of a servant,

    being made in human likeness.

8 And being found in appearance as a man,

    he humbled himself

    by becoming obedient to death—

    even death on a cross!

    2) The sacrifice was in God's reckoning not man's.

    3) If He were dead He would be only a mortal and unable to do anything on our behalf. Even the anti-Christians knew this !!!!!!!!

It's because He rose from the dead. Now, I can't prove this with 100% certainty. I rely instead on the fact that people saw him alive three days* after He was subjected to the most brutal execution mankind has ever devised. Read the Bible. In Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, you'll find four accounts of Jesus' crucifixion, death, and appearance to people after his resurrection.

*In those days, people in that region counted the current day as day one. So, when the Bible says that Jesus rose from the dead three days after his death, it counted Friday as day one, Saturday as day two, and Sunday as day three.

Apparently you missed the best part - Easter! He rose from the dead by His own power, just as He said He would do.

    It's called resurrection.

Besides, when He died, He was still alive as a spirit (Luke 23:43).

If he rose from the dead, that's just like a slap in the face to us all..

''I sacrificed myself for you.. But I don't wanna stay dead.''

    ******* Jesus.
