What format to convert vhs into?
We're converting some old tapes into digital video, which file format would it be best to use? Avi, flv, mp4... going for good quality, since they're probably already quite deteriorated.
ps. Nellie The Elephant coming soon, to Youtube ;)

Wondershare HD Video Converter is the best HD Video Converter, AVCHD Video Converter software which can convert between HD video formats, convert HD videos to SD, convert HD AVCHD/M2TS/TS/HD H.264 to AVI/MP4 etc.

mp4 will be good if you want this on high resolution. but it consumes space.
avi and flv are compressed formats. watchable quality (depending uppon filters and number of passes you use). Consumes less space.

It depends on what devices you choose to put your videos in, i suggest you convert your files to mp4 format that is compatible with many devices. Here is a mp4 converter not bad, you can have a free trial. http://free-download-films.com/mp4-converter.html
